Learn Scottish Gaelic \ Gàidhlig!
Tutoring-Information about my Gaelic language course.
No matter which kind of tutoring works best for you, I have a flat fee of $25 per hour.
I'm currently teaching Scottish Gaelic classes as private lessons and for the Atlantic Gaelic Academy. Also, Slighe nan Gaidheal runs the Zero to Gaelic program which includes Gaelic Intensive Days. These are generally the first Saturday of the month between October and May and include beginner, intermediate, advanced, and Ceum Suas - a level for people to work on the things they've learned before or from other sources.
If you are interested in learning Scottish Gaelic language in the Puget Sound region (Seattle, Shoreline, Bothell, Kenmore, Kirkland, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Renton, Tukwila, or South King County, Snohomish County, Pierce County or even Whatcom or Skagit Counties), email me. If you live elsewhere, how about a lesson via Skype? Come learn how to speak Gaelic!

Requirements for online Tutoring
1) What do I need hardware or software-wise for online Tutoring?
A) You need a relatively modern computer, capable of audio chat. This will require the following things.
◆A microphone. Preferably a good quality external microphone. Built in microphones might work, but tend to pick up noise and echo. Use a headset if possible.
◆Speakers. Preferably good quality speakers. Better yet are headphones. Headphones block out noise and prevent echo.
◆A broadband internet connection. Cable or DSL, most likely. Dial-up probably won't work.
◆Free software from Skype.
2) Can I use another piece of software?
A) I’m on a Mac and Skype is best.3) What textbook or materials would we use?
A) That depends on you. We can incorporate any materials that you have, or use my syllabus and handouts. I generally use the Ceumannan materials, available online.
